Abstract.
The overview of the non-destructive pile investigation methods presented in this work proves that we witness an on-going development of exploratory techniques used for pile quality control, especially from the point of view of their length and continuity.
Therefore, the main objective of this article is to provide an analysis of different non-destructive testing (pile integrity test (PIT); P-wave test; ultrasound test (UPV)) results for old concrete piles and to provide suggestions for the prediction of experimental results.
Pile integrity test (PIT) Pile integrity tests were performed for the verification of the data obtained from the existing pile installation documentation. In particular, it was tested whether the pile length corresponded to the data provided in the documentation. Additionally, it was important to check the integrity of the existing pile.
