As shown in Fig. 1b, the high-power capacitor discharges when the stud tip is perpendicular to the plate, and the stud tip quickly melts, forming an arc with a small size between the stud tip and the plate. After sufficient melting, the stud is inserted into the molten pool to form a CDASW joint .
