The public has a direct role in the expansion of the energy storage systems if they would like to contribute to the preservation and protection of the environment by having an economical energy storage device .
In this regard, different government agencies should have an effective plan in place to support stakeholders with energy storage (delivering information and guidance). Further, energy experts and policymakers should ensure that the planning system and the industry are aligned and mutually informed about key constraints and opportunities [214, 215].
This is the source of its value, and defining storage as a new asset class would allow owners and operators to provide the highest-valued services across components of the grid. The benefits of energy storage depend on the flexibility in application inherent in system design and operation.
Next, we identify the limits to energy storage systems as a poorly defined asset class within the electric grid value chain, and demonstrate how creating a new asset class for storage will both enhance the value of storage and also provide significant benefits to the operation of the smart grid.

Numerous studies have shown the importance of new energy storage technologies in facilitating economic, secure, sustainable, and energy-efficient developments for both the present and future .
