Conical solar still's distillation yield is augmented when inclination angle is 30°. Conical solar stills have the benefit over simple solar stills in that all of the top portions are exposed to the same solar radiation at all times and in all locations, eliminating the need to specify the direction of the sun's rays.
The daily yield of a conical solar still is 5.95 kg/m 2, which is higher than the yield of a conical solar still at an inclined angle of 60° and 45°, which are 3.80 and 5.05 kg/m 2, respectively. The daily production for CoSS-30 increases by around 56.58 and 17.82%, respectively, in contrast to CoSS-60 and CoSS-45.

An experimental test is conducted on conical solar stills. Test are performed for different inclination angles, 30° (CoSS-30), 45° (CoSS-45), and 60° (CoSS-60). Daily production for CoSS-30 increases by around 56.58% and 17.82%, respectively, compared to CoSS-60 and CoSS-45.
For 30° tilt angle, an increased distillation yield is resulted compared to other angles configurations. The findings suggest that adopting this particular tilt angle of 30° can significantly improve the performance of the conical solar still.
