The meter is connected to the RS485 port of one of the inverters. In this case, as the inverter's RS485 port is occupied by the meter, use an RS485 Expansion Kit (available from SolarEdge) or ZigBee communication between the inverters. The meter is connected to one of the RS485 ports of a CCG.
It is able to measure the energy "to grid" or "from grid" by only one meter. The meter can upload the measurement (Voltage, Current, Active Power, Active Energy, Frequency...) to the cloud. So you can easily monitor the below KPIs of a solar PV system online:
1. Verify that power is OFF before making connections. 2. Insert a grounding cable through the appropriate conduit and the knockout that was opened and connect it from Pin 10 of the 10-pin terminal block to the grounding terminal (bus-bar) at the bottom of the meter enclosure. 3.
Configure the meter parameters as follows: Set CT/Phase Loss to <En> (enabled). In the sub-menu, for each CT and phase used by the meter, set the corresponding entry to <En> enabled. Set the CT rating to the value that appears on the CT: CT Rating è<xxxxA>. The default is 5 Amperes.
Twist the wires together and insert them into the terminal. Securely tighten the terminal screws. 2. Terminate the SolarEdge device as described in Installing and Connecting the Meter on page 7. The built-in RGM is pre-configured as a production meter and its settings should not be changed.
The meter is connected to an RS485 port of one of the inverters. If the inverter has a second RS485 port, use this port to connect between the inverters. If the inverter has only one RS485 port, use an RS485 Plug-In (available from SolarEdge) or ZigBee communication between the inverters.
