Phase change energy storage-wind and solar hybrid system. The application of phase change energy storage technology in the utilization of new energy can effectively solve the problem of the mismatch between the supply and demand of energy in time and space, and significantly improve the utilization rate of new energy.
It also introduces the application scenarios of energy storage on the power generation side, transmission and distribution side, user side and microgrid of the power system in detail. Section 3 introduces six business models of energy storage in China and analyzes their practical applications.

The development of energy storage in China is relatively fast. Some new application scenarios and business models of energy storage cannot be understood in time due to secrets or short time, so some research results cannot be sorted out and analyzed in time.
Rapid developments in the commodity economy have sharply increased the electricity consumption of businesses and factories, with the annual growth rate reaching 20–30 % . China's power generation capacity was the second highest in the world by 1996, reaching 250 and 874 GW by 1997 and the end of 2009, respectively [82, 83].
The first stage (during China's 13th Five-Year Plan period) realizes the energy storage from the R&D demonstration stage to the initial stage of commercialization; the second stage (during China's 14th Five-Year Plan period) realizes the energy storage from the initial stage of commercialization to the stage of large-scale development.
