While large-scale geological storage seems to be the focus for economies like the EU and Australia, India is yet to carry out an extensive analysis to map the prospective sites for storing hydrogen. Lack of low-cost storage solutions can become a potential barrier for the production of both green and blue hydrogen in India.
India’s abundant renewable resources and ambitious renewable energy targets position it as a key player in the global green hydrogen market. This article delves into the intricacies of green hydrogen adoption in India, exploring key drivers, challenges, and strategies for accelerating its deployment.
Using the proposed method, the results of the monthly average forecast of solar energy based green hydrogen production potential at Fatehgarh & Bhadla site comes around 0.017 kg/m 2 (or 17 x 10 3 kg/km 2) and 0.016 kg/m 2 (or 16 x 10 3 kg/km 2) correspondingly.
