Pilipinas Shell Corporation rolls out the inaugural Shell Recharge Station in the Philippines. Located at Shell SLEX Mamplasan Northbound, it is the first of eight planned fast charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) in 2022.
Charging costs P65 per minute. The charging station accepts various payment options. At the moment, there are no rewards or points system available for EV owners, but the company plans to roll out benefits for Shell Go+ customers soon. Pilipinas Shell plans to open more Shell Recharge stations this year.
In support of the Philippines’ policy on energy security and move towards cleaner forms of energy, Shell Recharge chargers are either fully powered by Renewable Energy or partially powered and assisted by Green RE technologies. This ensures EV drivers that their vehicle is powered by a low emission power source if they charge at Shell Recharge.
