The fully flexible photovoltaic micro-power system demonstrates great potential for future wearable electronics and expands the way to efficiently harvest solar energy in highly adaptive and dynamic applications. 1. Introduction
This approach is well matched to the requirements of module integrated converters for solar photovoltaic (PV) applications. The topology is based on a series resonant inverter, a high frequency transformer, and a novel half-wave cycloconverter.
Herein, a flexible photovoltaic (PV) micro-power system for wearable electronics has been designed in this study. This system employed a customized FOCV algorithm with simplified logic and fewer iterations, making it suitable for wearable electronics. Simulations and hardware experiments were conducted to validate the proposed design.
There are a variety of applications where the use of micro inverters can be very effective. The room for research of single stage micro-inverter is a potential opportunity for researchers working in the field of solar PV. The review of micro-inverter research work forms the bottom line for future research work.
This paper deals with the development of a micro inverter for single phase photovoltaic applications which is suitable for conversion from low voltage DC to high voltage AC. The circuit topology is based on half-wave cycloconverter and grid connected micro inverter with a very less number of conversion stages and passive components.
Finally, experimental prototype with 300 W is established to verify the validity of the proposed topology, and the experimental results shows that the proposed topology processes the merits of few components, simple control, galvanic isolation and high conversion efficiency in a wide photovoltaic voltage input and power range.
