Watch our fourth webinar to hear from leaders in integrating solar panels into deep retrofit solutions. The Pembina Institute is leading an initiative to scale up deep retrofits for healthy, safe, and low-carbon housing. This is an opportunity for companies to showcase innovation and get in on the ground floor of a market transformation.
This federal grant for solar panel retrofits is available through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). With a budget of $250 million, this program provides opportunities for low-income areas to receive funding. If approved, any funding must be used within a two-year period from the time that you receive it.
Let’s say you’ve owned a solar energy system for several years, and over time, your energy needs have expanded. Whether you need more power to charge a new electric vehicle or because of increased home consumption (maybe you invested in a new heat pump), there are many reasons why people may want to retrofit an existing solar energy system.
If you already have an existing solar panel system, it is possible to retro fit optimisers to your solar panels to ensure best performance and energy generation. Learn More about Solar Panel Optimisers!
Ongoing system maintenance and monitoring to ensure optimal operation. Solar PV can help finance large capital projects. When solar PV installation is integrated with a deep retrofit, the system contributes to retrofit costs through energy savings as soon as it is up and running.
Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels generate clean electricity and could free up future cash flows, thereby helping finance more comprehensive retrofits. This primer examines key factors affecting this business case, with a focus on the B.C. context. Download the primer, or keep reading below.
