Bears-Panthers Sets NFL Week 1 Scoring Record

The Bears' 59-37 road victory over the Panthers set a new NFL record for the highest-scoring Week 1 game in league history.

The 96 combined points surpassed the previous Week 1 record of 88 points set by the Buccaneers' 48-40 win over the Saints in 2018. This marked the first time an NFL game ended with a 59-37 score and the highest-scoring game since the Rams and Chiefs combined for 105 points in 2018. asg-reflektory.pl

While the Bears' 59 points was impressive, it wasn't their highest-scoring output in team history. Chicago previously scored 61 points in regular season games during the 1965 and 1980 seasons, and put up 73 points in the 1940 NFL championship game.
