Unless otherwise stipulated in the specification, the 11kV pole mounted switched capacitors shall comply with the latest version of IS:13925 (Part-I)1998 (Shunt Capacitors for Power Systems). Unless otherwise specified, the capacitors shall be suitable for upper limit of temperature category 50° C as per IS:13925 (Part-I)1998.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The raw material used for capacitor manufacturing i.e. polypropylene film, non PCB non toxic oil and aluminum foil shall be of best quality. Thickness of PP film (both sides hazy) shall be indicated in the technical particulars by weight method. No. of layers of dielectric shall not be less than three.
All capacitor units, switches, and accessories shall be factory mounted to the bank. Any items not mounted at factory shall be indicated on proposal and submittals. The Capacitor bank shall have proper electrical clearances for [95kV BIL] [125kV BIL] [150kV BIL] [Other]. The capacitor bank frame shall be an “inline” type.
General Capacitor installation guidelines are included in publication 7000-UM202. ATTENTION: This VFD contains ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) sensitive parts and assemblies. Static control precautions are required when installing, testing, servicing or repairing this assembly. Component damage may result if ESD control procedures are not followed.
