All outdoor equipment enclosures/material shall be weatherproof, and all metal parts shall be corrosion and/or abrasion resistant, and the degree or protection shall be at least IP54 as per IEC 60529 or equivalent NEMA Standard. Which power supply should be included in a Bess interface switch?

For a BESS with a Maximum Connected Capacity greater than 11 kVA, the power supply of the interface protection shall include an uninterruptible power supply. The loss of the auxiliary voltage on either the interface protection or on the BESS control system shall trigger the interface switch without delay.

Where should a Bess meter be installed?

From that time on, BESS Meters shall be installed within the Consumer Premises, as close as possible to BESS inverters. The Consumer shall ensure that its BESS complies with the requirements defined in the present standards throughout the overall lifetime of the facility.
