At 48V it drops to a more reasonable 66A. This is actually better than you might think because power loss is proportional to current squared, so if you use your existing wiring and connectors the loss in them will be 4 times higher. A 24V inverter might be a bit cheaper, but you should consider the cost of replacing your wiring and fuses etc.
Big advantage of 24v is half the battery, which is half the cost, which is substantial... Otherwise everything else is the same really. Technically 48v is not low voltage like 24v, but all this stuff is dangerous. Let’s answer this with a question… what are you going to power with this system, and for how long would you like it to run after dark?
The choice of inverter depends on your system's voltage. If you have a 12V system, you need a 12V inverter; a 48V system requires a 48V inverter. Standard Pure Sine Wave inverters simply change DC power to AC power. Inverter Chargers handle this function plus allow you to charge your batteries off shore power or a generator.
A 48V solar system, with sufficient solar panels and battery storage, can power electric heating and air conditioning. The greater your energy demand and the more powerful your appliances (especially if they heat or cool), the greater the current (amperage) flowing through your wiring.
Alternatively, you may want to parallel multiple 24V inverters to reach the power levels of a 48V system. This is my 24V inverter, and it's designed to run in parallel with a communications cable linking them so their power is phase-locked. So, two if these inverters working in parallel could outperform my 48V inverter. Free Shipping!

48V vs 24V why/why not?
I have a 24V 3000W inverter. All in ones I''m gonna get are both 3000W, just 48v vs 24v. I have 1100W of panels on roof. The all in ones are: 3000W 24V $675 3000W 48V $675 If the 48V was more expensive, I''d go with 24V, but same price. So I thought why not save on wiring anyways, and go 48v? Since I''m replacing all 24v specific stuff anyways.

12v 200Ah or 24v 100Ah
Have you measured what the peak wattage is, this is important for choosing the inverter size. 12V is worth considering up to about 2000W, beyond that higher voltage is better. But if all of your devices will be powered via the inverter, I can''t think of any reason not to just go with 24V. You will save a bit on wiring and component costs ...

Which is Better 24V or 48V Solar System
In summary, a 48V solar system is generally better than a 24V solar system. It is because the 48V system allows more power for the same size components. This means that you can collect energy and charge batteries at a faster rate. It also allows you to use a more powerful inverter. If you use the same system power, a 48V system will either let ...
