In addition, the elemental content of the powder was analyzed. A new device for electrostatic cleaning has been designed and implemented.
For example, an accumulation of 4 g/m 2 of dust can result in a 40% reduction of electricity generation [ 8 ]. In the last decade, the effect of dust and approaches to reduce the dirt and grime on solar panels has been the subject of research. One study focused on the 2013–2015 period [ 9 ], with an update for 2012.

First of all, existing systems used for dust removal from solar panels were evaluated. Then, the effects of dust on the panel were investigated for Şanlıurfa province in Turkey.
To measure the power recovery from the solar panel after dust removal, the researcher employed 150 g/m 2 dust loading with 20° inclination at 0.7 kVpp/mm and 0.2 Hz. The output power of the panel without dust was 97%. After dust application the output power decreased to 60% which was regained to 90% after the activating EDS .
An experimental study carried out in south-eastern Iran by Abdolzadeh et al. has shown that the direction of the wind and the direction of the PV panels, which experience the highest levels of dust deposition, coincide during most months of the year.
Under the low wind speed of 1.6 m s −1, two DRUs for two solar panels driven by one REG and VMC have been shown to remove most dust effectively within a short time of 6.6 min.
