A swallowed button battery or one in the nose or ears is an emergency. Store all batteries where kids can't see or reach them. Recycle or throw out used batteries properly. If instructed, take the person to the nearest Emergency Department for medical care. If you cannot find the battery that was ingested from the device, bring it to the Emergency Department.
