You can put to use either a multimeter or a tester (only if available) for the measurement of the voltage output. Opt to test with the help of a working power supply, which you know, if possible. Now, opt for reinstalling and securing the PSU. Shut the case down and then plug in your PC and check whether the power supply is working correctly.
On the PC, and open a web browser. Using search engines such as Bing, Google, or Yahoo, opt to search your power supply’s brand/model. make sure to add the keyword “specifications” along with the term you will type to search. Now, opt for pressing the Enter key, or you may just opt for clicking the search button.
Check the label for the wattage figure in numbers with a ‘W’ sign. If you can’t find the sticker on your PSU, you may have to remove the PSU from the case, as the frame could cover it. You may have to remove 4 to 6 screws to remove the power supply unit from the PC’s case.
By downloading and running CPU-Z on your computer, you can access the “Power” tab, which displays information about your power supply unit, including the wattage and other specifications. Another useful software option is HWMonitor, which provides real-time monitoring and reporting of your hardware components, including the power supply unit.
The manufacturer is required to provide information about your power supply along with the specs of the PC. If there is no information about your PSU, you should be able to find its model number. Once you find the model number, you can search the internet to get the details of your PSU.
