Starting from the external strain mechanism of the lithium battery, the strain change of the lithium battery explosion proof valve under normal conditions and overcharge is studied. Based on the comparison of the two conditions, an online warning scheme using sliding window and data standard deviation is proposed.

A more accurate method is to use embedded optical fiber to detect the pressure inside the battery [7, 8], however, this solution is more costly and complicated, and it is difficult to achieve engineering applications at present. Instead, the internal pressure changes are reflected by detecting the stress-strain on the surface of the cell.
