Finally, the study provides a blueprint for the design and construction of a DC fast EV charging station using a 1-MW solar system, which can be replicated and scaled up to meet the increasing demand for an EV charging infrastructure around the world. The structure of this paper is as follows.
Additionally, a fast EV charging station is built to directly use the DC voltage of the suggested solar system, reducing the cost and complexity of the system. The planned 1-MW solar system generates 5 MWh of electricity daily, which is enough to completely charge ~120 BEVs every day.
The use of solar energy to power EV charging stations not only provides a clean and renewable source of energy, but also reduces the dependence on the electric grid, thus increasing the reliability of the charging infrastructure.
